So many doors, so many options, so many possibilities

How do you know which door to go through? What if you don’t like what’s on the other side? What if you LOVE what’s on the other side? What if you want to know what’s through ALL of the doors? Your FIMS degree is equipping you with skills and knowledge applicable to a wide range of career opportunities. Our alumni have gone out and blazed trails, re-invented themselves, landed dream jobs, and become super heroes (well, maybe not that last one). You’ve got many universes to consider and your choices will open up different realities.

Why not hear from some people who have already been there?  The 7th annual FIMS Career Conference is set to introduce you to some FIMS alumni who have travelled the path and have found their way(s). And they can’t wait to share their experiences with YOU.

Why should I register?

What should I expect?

Who’s speaking?

Heading out in the work of work after completing your undergraduate degree can be an intimidating experience, but you’re not alone on that journey. You have an entire FIMS community out there who have been blazing trails ahead of you. At the Career Conference you will hear from extraordinary alumni who are ready to share their career stories and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

This event is created BY students FOR students, with generous funding through the Undergraduate Student Fund (USF).

This full day, in-person event will keep you busy imagining possibilities. At the Career Conference you can expect:

  • Amazing (dare we say life changing?) advice and insights from our alumni speakers
  • A chance to mingle with alumni and friends over snacks and games
  • Tangible career advice, tips, new skills and great ideas
  • A networking dinner that will give you a chance to compare notes with your friends and the alumni guests

To kick off the day the Career Conference always starts with a keynote address from a FIMS alum. Our keynote speaker for this year is still TBA, but we have some good things brewing.

Other FIMS alumni working in a variety of industries will lead the breakout sessions. The schedule is set up to allow you to attend the presentations that most interest you!

You can also catch the new grad panel to hear from alumni who only graduated within the last 2 or 3 years.
